Founded in 2021
Compact Comforts is built on the foundation of being a minority and women owned cannabis community.
Its mission is to build a strong network of cannabis users, businesses and advocates from underrepresented communities, while providing access to those who rely on this natural medicine. By connecting consumers to brands that represent their values, we set out to create a space for cannabis users who want products that are fun, healthy and diverse.
One of the best things about cannabis is that it brings people together—even when you’re consuming solo. A community of cannabis users can be a powerful thing, offering support, advocacy, and education for others who share your interests. Our goal is to be a community-centered licensed retailer but as we build toward that we invite you to join us as we learn more about the plant and highlight those who also wish to build an inclusive legal market in NY.
About the Founder
Founder Stacey St. Louis started this business to be a part of benefiting communities that have for years been negatively impacted by the war on drugs yet is often left out of the legal industry.
With NY's legalization focusing on social equity Stacey sees this as an opportunity to change that narrative. Born of two immigrant parents and raised in Queens, New York, Stacey has always had a desire to uplift her community. From being a youth leader in her church to volunteering to tutor students in a neighborhood after school program, recognizing opportunities to share her own growth with others is a driving force in Stacey's life. After years working within property management, the Baruch College alumna is glad to have found a new path on which to push for inclusion and economic growth.
